Dr. Violeta Schubert (*tbc)

The University of Melbourne, Australia

She is an anthropologist with research expertise in kinship, gender and identity. My research sheds light on the plight of individuals and communities navigating existence in the face of precarity and rapid social transformation. Current research focuses on concerns with understanding how cultural knowledge and practice is situated in social, economic and political development and has 2 major strands: intersections between alternative therapies and cultural modes of healing and wellbeing and exploration of the differing modes of conceptualising, organising and leading for development - collaborative project on woman leadership in Indonesia, publications on culture and development, social policy, protection, inclusive development.
