Prof. Ts. Dr. Mariyam Jameelah Ghazali

Prof. Ts. Dr. Mariyam Jameelah Binti Ghazali is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is a principal investigator in the Advanced Materials Research Group and a research associate of the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) research initiative. She was appointed as a Visiting Professor at Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, in 2018. She obtained her Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) and Master of Science degrees in Materials Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Sheffield, UK. Since joining UKM in 2002, she has held various academic leadership roles, including Editor-in-Chief of UKM's Jurnal Kejuruteraan and Assistant Dean for Entrepreneurship and Creativity in the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment. Prof. Mariyam Jameelah is a co-founder of the Malaysian Tribology Society (MYTRIBOS), where she previously served as Secretary and currently holds the position of Vice President (Academic). She also serves as Vice President of the Asian Tribology Council. His expertise lies in materials science and tribology, encompassing both fundamental and applied research. He has received numerous national and international awards, secured competitive research grants, and successfully supervised numerous graduate students at the Master's and doctoral levels.
