Dr. Stavros Michailos

Dr. Stavros Michailos is a Lecturer in Chemical Engineering at the University of Hull. He obtained his PhD from the University of Manchester, funded by Shell Research UK, and previously held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Manchester, Aston University, and the University of Sheffield. His research focuses on the design, modelling, and optimisation of low-carbon energy systems, including carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS), sustainable aviation fuel production, hydrogen technologies, and decentralised energy systems. His work also involves life cycle and techno-economic assessments to support the development of sustainable and efficient energy technologies. He has published more than forty research papers, book chapters, and technical reports in the field of sustainable energy engineering.
